Computers in our lab provide access to the internet and library catalog. Patrons wishing to use our computer lab should sign-in at the circulation desk before using a computer. Our computers are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
CAreer Pathways Resources Offer Free Job Training and Professional Development Through Del Norte County Library— in Person or Online
Interested in learning important skills like bookkeeping, data analytics, or project management? Need help preparing for a job-related exam in healthcare, IT, firefighting, or education? Maybe you already have the skills for the career of your dreams and just need to create a competitive resume, polish a cover letter, or improve your job interview skills? That and more is waiting for you – at no cost – either online or in-person at Del Norte County Library All you need is a library card to access a suite of online workforce development tools that would cost $1,000 or more to subscribe to on your own. The CAreer Pathways tools help Californians with job training, test preparation, and professional development in a variety of languages. The online resources offered include: Coursera, LearningExpress Library Complete with Job Career Accelerator, LinkedIn Learning, Northstar Digital Literacy, Skillshare, and Brainfuse - VetNow}. Californians are already enjoying the benefits these tools provide!

This guide helps people with prior convictions to learn about going to college. It also includes information about various grants and scholarships, advocacy programs and resources for ex-offenders, and other vital information to help them earn a degree.

To take advantage of this service, simply contact us on the day before desired pickup. We will need your Name, Phone number, Library Card number, and requested item(s). Call us when you arrive and we will be happy to bring the items to your vehicle. You will need to show your Library Card and Photo ID.
Through NorthNet OverDrive, we provide access to free ebooks, audiobooks, magazines, and videos from your library using your phone or tablet. It's easy to get started―all you need is a library card!
Through our Del Norte Reads program, we offer various literacy services to the community, such as Computer 101, High School Equivalency, literacy tutoring, and assistance with English as a second language.
This 18 month program pairs each student with an online academic coach, who provides opportunity to earn an accredited high school diploma and career certificate.

We are committed to supporting the work of local writers and we do this by adding their works to our collection and hosting book readings and book signings. Anyone with a DNCLD Library card can submit their manuscript for consideration.
Your library. Delivered! If we don't have your book, then you can request it through the Zip program. Zip Books is free, easy to use, and extremely popular with the public. When you return your item, it is considered for the library collection. This is paid for by Califa and the California State Library. Program extended through August 30, 2022 Zip Books Program is over for the rest of the year. Thanks to all who participated.
Del Norte Reads is a free library literacy program that works in conjunction
with the Del Norte County Library District. This grant/donation funded program exists through the California Library Services and thrives on funding through various community partnerships.
Our special events make space for you to connect with like-minded peers. Subscribe to our newsletter to be receive notifications for all of our events.
Our Kids Corner provides a variety of children's materials, story times, and existing library events throughout the year to promote a lifelong love of learning and growing. We offer engaging programs for children, parents and caregivers of all ages. Join us for good stories, rhymes, music and just plain fun! Books and materials are available to encourage family reading.
The purpose of our library's teen outreach program is to give teens the opportunity to participate in a mix of activities and experiences with other teens in order to promote positive outlets for development as they get ready to enter into adulthood. Come and see for yourself what all the hype is about!
